Stakeholder research leads to a successful long-term strategy

For one of our clients, we have been the trusted strategic advisor for many years. A consistent focus strategy has led to an undisputed leadership position. In the stakeholder field, however, rapid changes are taking place that limit further growth.

A new strategic planning cycle has therefore started with extensive strategic stakeholder interviews with customers, partners, relevant government agencies and influencers. Subsequently, a qualitative and quantitative internal, external and environmental analysis was performed. With this basis we have, in co-creation with a team of directors, made an update of the core strategy with the addition of more focus on stakeholder interests. The Sustainable Development Goals model was used for this purpose.

After a series of sessions (24-hours, day sessions and in project teams), we formulated the strategic pillars for the 2018 – 2021 strategy. These pillars were then translated into goals and actions per department. After formulating concrete goals, actions and financial projections, we have updated the mission, vision and core values of this organisation.
Now we are in the phase to work out the roadmaps per department so that the new strategy can be implemented.
