How do we become the best supermarket? How do we get everybody behind this ambition and its implementation?
Approach
In co-creation with the managing board a high level strategic ambition was formulated and subsequently the top management layer was involved in writing the strategy plan.
All 45 key managers were brought together in a series of large-scale intervention sessions and asked to find sources of inspiration and personal drives by entering into dialogue about what is needed to become the best supermarket.
Results
- Many participants called this collective strategy development a highlight of their professional carreer.
- The connection in the upper management was reinforced
- In the third year of the implementation, PLUS won the key award for best supermarket of the country, with growing market share as further proof.
